Rifleman

What is Rifleman?
First troop ever available in your army, this little man is unlocked at Headquarters level 1 since you start the game. With only 1 space per unit required in Landing Craft, he can effectively fit in any level of Landing Craft. Cheap training cost and short training time make Rifleman good all around any stage of the game.

Boom Beach
Strength in Numbers
Rifleman at the ready! Basic infantry units, the Riflemen are able to deal out and withstand moderate damage. In large enough numbers, they are almost unstoppable.

Movement Speed = Moderate (220)
Range = Medium (470)
Unit Size = 1
Training Time = 1 min.
Time between shots = 1 sec.

Rifleman Fact (from level 1 to 20)
Health = 140 – 506
Damage per second = 30 – 134
Training Cost = 20 – 1,800
Upgrade Cost = 9,500 – 4,400,000

Rifleman vs. Defense Buildings
Rifleman is effective against Sniper Tower, Cannon, and Boom Cannon.
Rifleman is weak against Mine, Mortar, Machine Gun, Flame Thrower, and Rocket Launcher.

Simply, groups of Rifleman are weak against any defense that can deal damage in an area. But they are very effective as separate meat shield against single-point-defense building. Cannon and Boom Cannon will take forever to kill group of 20 Riflemen.

Attack Tactics for Rifleman
1) Pair with Heavy
Early in the game, use Heavy to absorb damage while Rifleman stays behind and deal lots of damage.

2) Tag team with Zooka / Zooka and Medic
Player base or Resource Base with lots of Sniper Tower, Cannon and Boom Cannon will easily fall down by Rifleman and Zooka team. Riflemen bravely die while Zookas shoot down everything on sight.

Later in the game when Medic is available, Rifleman-Zooka-Medic as known as RZM is another top-tier troop combination to incredibly fight against tough base.

3) Front-line with Tank
Believe it or not, all little men sacrifice themselves by taking Cannon and Boom Cannon shots. Tanks survive the battle to finish off Headquarters or Outpost.

Defense Tactics against Rifleman
1) Mortar, Machine Gun
Evenly spread out Mortar and Machine Gun to cover the entire base will help deal with Rifleman in particular.

2) Flame Thrower, Rocket Launcher 
Put Flame Thrower in key area or near Headquarters will help quickly burn down Flame Thrower. Make sure your Rocker Launcher range cover the key area or Headquarters to deal with group of incoming Riflemen.
